Welcome to the Ecofurb Green Homes Wales scheme
Get an Ecofurb Plan through the Green Homes Wales scheme to receive quality assured retrofit advice tailored to your home, your priorities and your budget.
Are you a Green Homes Wales recipient? We can take you through Phase 1-3 of the scheme by providing a Home Assessment and Recommendation Report for your home, written by an independent Retrofit Coordinator, and connecting you to installers.

What is an Ecofurb Plan?
An Ecofurb Plan includes a full home survey and energy assessment by a Retrofit Assessor, and home energy efficiency retrofit recommendations created by a qualified, Trustmark-approved Retrofit Coordinator.
This enables you to put together a detailed and reliable plan for your energy efficiency home upgrade with expert, independent advice tailored to your home, your priorities and your budget.
What do you get with an Ecofurb Plan, as part of the Green Homes Wales scheme?
After you home survey, Ecofurb’s Retrofit Coordinators will prepare an Ecofurb Plan for your home energy efficiency upgrade which takes into account your budget, your priorities, and all the relevant options for your home.
Your Plan indicates the approximate costs of measures, and their impact on your energy bills and carbon emissions. Crucially, it also recommends in what order each measure should be installed, so you can plan work over time without the risk of having to re-work early installations.
Next, the Retrofit Coordinator will offer you a 30-minute consultation to talk through the detail, so you have a Plan you are confident will deliver on your energy efficiency goals.
Finally, you can select an installer for each measure from the Ecofurb trusted installer network, and get free retrofit coordination support for your project.
What differs from a regular Ecofurb Plan?
Until March 2025, our home surveys include a Matterport 3D Capture Service which is not part of the standard package for the Green Homes Wales scheme.
But don’t worry - you have the option to purchase this as an add-on!
The Matterport survey includes:
- A 360 degree scan of your home to create a virtual tour
- Drone photography to check roof condition
- Architectural floorplans of your home.
This is optional and comes with an additional cost of £360 (inc. VAT).
Please note, you might want to consider including the Matterport 3D Capture Service if your home is large, complex a heritage home, or if you are likely to install works under Phase 2/3 of this scheme.
Rest assured - our standard Ecofurb report is not affected by Matterport 3D Capture Service in any way. However, adding it on as extra can enhance your report by providing extra data, which is especially helpful if you’re planning Phase 3 installations through this scheme.

Please note that your Ecofurb Plan, through the Green Homes Wales scheme, won’t include the Matterport 3D Capture Service which creates 360 degree and drone photography and architectural floor plans unless you purchase it as an add-on.
What are the next steps?
If you choose to work with us, these are the following steps
- Please fill in your Grant Award letter, and send it to applications@greenhomes.wales, to tell them that you have instructed Ecofurb to deliver your Home Assessment and Recommendation Report.
- Fill in the booking form below.
- Green Home Wales will confirm that with us within 48h of receiving your completed grant award letter, and we will call you shortly after to book the initial survey.
- We then aim to complete your Plan within 4-6 weeks, subject to the date of the survey and your availability for the consultation call.
After you get your Report, we can support you with Phases 2 and 3 by getting one or more quotations and oversight of the installation.
We can only do this where we have delivered the Recommendation Report under Phase 1 as our independent Retrofit Coordinator starts building their understanding of your home from Day One. Being a one stop shop also helps us ensure quality control as we know our Retrofit Assessors work to our high standards.
